Maintenance and Lifespan Extension Recommendations for Production Equipment Drive Sprockets

Regularly clean chains and sprockets to prevent dust and debris buildup from accelerating wear.

Apply grease according to equipment requirements to reduce friction and wear on the teeth surfaces.

Regularly check sprocket tooth wear; if the teeth are deformed or worn by more than 10%, replace them promptly to avoid equipment failure.

Key points for selecting transmission sprockets for production equipment:

Operating conditions: For heavy load continuous operation, alloy steel with carburizing and quenching process (hardness HRC 58-62) is preferred. For light load intermittent operation, cast iron or ordinary carbon steel is fine. For high-precision scenarios (like food packaging lines), sprockets with accuracy above Grade 7 are needed.

Parameter matching: The number of teeth should match the equipment model (e.g., NE15 hoist uses a 15-tooth sprocket), and the module must strictly correspond to the chain specification (common sizes are 8mm and 10mm).
